Elaine Solar Farm

About The Project

Glas Energy is looking to develop a 150MWac Solar Farm and 125MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) 22km southeast of Ballarat at Midland Highway, Elaine 3334 Victoria, part of the Moorabool Shire Council area.

With development approval received in May 2024, Glas is looking to progress a collocated renewable energy scheme at a site on Midland Highway and Elaine-Blue Bridge Road, Elaine, Victoria. The site is in the Moorabool Shire Council area. The scheme will supply 150MW of renewable solar energy and will include a 125MW battery energy storage system (BESS) that can store this energy and discharge when electricity demand is high.

This website has been created to provide information to the wider community. Glas Energy is also in the process of preparing a program that aims to contribute value to the local area in Elaine. As part of this, Glas Energy is committed to keeping the community informed at each stage of the project from planning through to construction.
